The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Mongolia and the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia successfully hosted the third annual 2016 American Days Expo at Misheel Expo on September 24-25, 2016.
The 2016 American Days Expo included over 100 companies, who are the official distributors of American products and services in Mongolia. Over 10,000 visitors attended the two-day expo to learn about, sample, and purchase the American brands. Even amid the current difficult economic situation, the 2016 American Days Expo attracted twice as many exhibitors and visitors compared to the Expo's inception in 2014, a clear reflection of the strong performance of American brands and services in Mongolia.
During the opening ceremony, the Honorable Jennifer Zimdahl Galt, U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia highlighted that, “The U.S. Embassy and AmCham Mongolia are proud to partner with the Mongolian Government to improve the investment climate, promote free enterprise, and bring more U.S. companies and products to Mongolia.”
The Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar City Mr. P. Bayarkhuu, who also attended the opening ceremony, said, “On behalf of the Mayor's Office, I would like to officially inform you that we would be pleased and willing to cooperate with the U.S. Embassy and AmCham Mongolia in organizing this annual expo in the future.”
The Chairman of AmCham Mongolia, Jay Liotta concluded the opening ceremony noting, “I am excited to say that we have over 100 exhibitors here today who represent high-quality American products and services. This is more than double the number of exhibitors we had in 2014.”
